Antenatal Clinics (Monday 2pm - 5pm)
Patients can arrange their first booking appointment by self referral online at https://www.northerntrust.hscni.net/antrimareahospitalmaternityselfreferralform/ Appointments with the antenatal clinic can be arranged by contacting the community midwife, Mrs Mary McCurry who provides antenatal care and advice on pregnancy.
Baby Clinics & Child Health (Thursday 1.40 pm - 3.00 pm)
This clinic is for child developmental checks and childhood immunisations. Your Health Visitor will provide you with advice and information to help you make choices about your family’s health. Contact with the Health Visitor (02820761531) can be in your home, Doctor’s surgery or Health Centre.
Nursing Team
The nursing team, supported by the doctors provide a range of medical, clinical & screening services to patients through health promotion clinics. Appointments can be made with the nurse for general health checks including blood pressure, weight and cholesterol. If you are aged 75 or over, you may be invited to attend for an annual health check.
Chronic Disease Management Clinics
Patients may make appointments to attend this clinic which is managed by the doctors and our Practice nurse. This would include, Asthma, COPD, Diabetes.
Well Man Clinic
Patients are encouraged to make an appointment with Dr Martin O’Kane or any of the doctors for consultation on men’s health issues including testicular and prostate checks.
Contraception; Implanon, Mirena Coil
Contraceptive services including implant insertion/removal and mirena coil fitting are provided by the practice and are available by appointment during surgery hours. If you would like the implant inserted or removed, please make an appointment with Dr Claire McLister or coil fitting with Dr Aoife Connolly. Cervical smear appointments can also be made with our nurse Jacqui Farnan.
Minor surgery
Many of our doctors offer this service including removal of skin lesions, joint injections and other minor procedures.
Flu Vaccination
An influenza vaccination is strongly recommended for those over 65 years of age or those who have diabetes, lung, heart or kidney disease. The clinics generally commence at the beginning of October. Please contact reception staff for further information.
